Dr. Dee is a mother of three with one deceased, and the grandmother of 7 beautiful grandchildren. Through the last 30 years of her life she has embraced a host of other wonderful spiritual children, grandchildren and godchildren. Dr. Dee is a Licensed Minister, Writer, Director, and Producer. She is a Certified Transformational Coach and Speaker and was blessed with an Honorary Doctorate in Ministry from Julian King University of Houston, Texas in 2019. She is a content marketing and editing entrepreneur at www.dcd.productions . Dr. Dee has authored three books, her first is her story entitled "Born Into Dysfunction to be Remade in November 2020. Her second is an evangelistic "Speak Life, Youth Empowerment Movement" journal entitled, "TAG...YOU'RE IT" released in May 2022 and her third book is a, "Comprehensive Behavioral Health Workbook" which is a Curriculum for a school-based program CHOICES Motivational Services which was published May of 2023. Marion is the mother to 3 boys and the grandmother to 3. She has worked as a Medical Laboratory Technician/ Assistant Supervisor for 31 years. She is a member of Sword of the Spirit Ministries. She loves going to the movies, swimming, and gardening. Marion has been with the Foundation from its inception.
Donna is a mother of three, grandmother of six and great grandmother of three. She has served as an Administrative Assistant to Director of Inspections in the Inspector General’s Office for the Armies Installation Management Command for 8 years. Administrative Assistant to the Secretary of the Air Force Personnel Council, Air Force Review Board Agency, Joint Base Andrews Naval Air Facility, Washington, Maryland for 3 years. She spent 15 years at Bethlehem Baptist Church and accepted the call to ministry and was licensed a Minister on February 26, 2006, and later ordained a Pastor. She has been on the Board of the Foundation for 9 years.
Pam is the mother to 1 and grandmother to 2. She spent 15 years as a teacher of a Child Development Center and is a long time member of New Creation Pentecostal Ministries. She loves music, reading, and working with youth. She also carries a warm place in heart for the elderly. Pam has been working with the Foundation since its inception.
Gerald is a husband, father and grandfather. He is the founder of Gerald Mayhan Ministries a global evangelistic ministry on the mission to saving souls. In 1989, he entered the Teen Challenge Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Program where Jesus Christ saved him and delivered him from drug addiction. Soon after, God restored Gerald’s marriage that had almost been destroyed due to his addiction and then God called him to preach His Glorious Gospel. He became an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God. Phyllis are active members of First Assembly of God in Alexandria, Virginia, where he is the Church Evangelist.
Currently, he serves on the Executive Board of Directors for the Teen Challenge Ministry in Capitol Heights, Maryland. He formerly served as Prison Coordinator for a year with the Teen Challenge Ministry. Since 1993, Gerald has been involved in the Prison Ministry in the Washington DC Metropolitan area, in Alderson, WV; and 2 Prisons in St. Lucia, West Indies; 3 jails in Montego Bay, Jamaica; and a jail in New Mexico. Gerald has been a friend and mentor to the Foundation since its inception and became a Board Advisor 12 years ago.
Dr. Lonise P. Bias is Founder/President of the non-profit organization Bias Foundation, Inc., a life investment organization that has developed community based programs supporting families, communities and youth.
She is an internationally known motivational speaker, trainer, consultant, a certified teen and family life coach. Dr. Bias has delivered powerful keynote addresses, facilitated and developed workshops for faith based, public and private sectors “bringing new solutions to old problems.”
Her journey has emerged from a tragedy in June of 1986 after the death of her oldest son, Len Bias a University of Md. basketball player, who died of cocaine intoxication just two days after being drafted #1 by the Boston Celtics. Forty-two months later, December 1990, the Bias family experience the death of their second son Jay the victim of a drive by shooting. Dr. Bias joined the Foundation as a Board Advisor in 7 year ago.
Rochelle has been shaking things up in her world since her earlier years in Chicago, Illinois. She is a grateful wife and blessed mother of 6 adopted children and 3 beautiful grandchildren (one deceased). Today, she lives in Houston, Texas. Rochelle is a writer, director and producer of her own entertainment company "We Shall Productions" Her creativity knows no bounds. Her latest joy is the inspirational children's book about a beautiful African-American character"Chazzie Jazzie." Rochelle is a prayer warrior, radio personality at the Rhema Gospel Radio, Station 101.5 FM Cypress Texas entitled "Ride Home with Ro on the Gospel Radio Show." She is an entrepreneur, philanthropist, play write, book author, TV host and a humble servant. She has been working on the Advisory Board for 2 years.
Cheryl is an educator, orator, author, certified life coach and mentor who earned a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies with a Specialization in Communications from the American University in Washington, D.C. After 35 years of service in the federal/quasi government, she retired from the Federal Reserve Board of Governors to focus on her passion for teaching.
Cheryl is an educator at heart, over the years, she has worked with several church ministries and community projects focused on educating adults and children. Her desire after she retired was to work in the school system to encourage and impact the lives of children through teaching. She taught children in the classroom for several years as well as tutored students in Reading, English & Language Arts and Math during the summer months.
In addition to being an author, she is a well-versed orator who served not only as a member but also held numerous positions of leadership for Toastmasters International, Inc. for 24 years. She is also an active member of the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS). Cheryl is the mother of four notably, successful adult children and Nana to currently, seven amazing grandchildren!
